Email van Folkebadcentralen eigenaar Erik Andreasen: Dear Folkboat sailors,
As a start of a generational change, and to secure a financially strong, jung and dynamic future for the Folkboat, I have sold my whole Folkboat concept. The buyers are the same German investor, who last year took over my production facilities in Estonia, where they run the Polar Shipyard, and with several of my future staff members, has the know-how, experience and expertise to continue building Folkboats from high quality.
Here in Kerteminde, Denmark I shall continue selling our successful motorboat Nordic Cruiser, and the company has consequently changed name from Folkebaadcentralen to Nordic Classics AS. May I use his opportunity to thank our loyally customers during the past 35 years!
Accessories shall in the future be shipped from Hamburg with ”only” 19% vat – our through your local dealer of your country, if you have a lower VAT, so I hope that everybody will back up my successor – the new Mr. Folkboat now in charge: Erik Schneider Folkboat Central GmbH.
